Alex Calce

Starting his career in 1980 Alex formed part of the Bruno Venturini orchestra as guitarist. This exposed him to the vast traditional Neapolitan repertoire. With this experience and further exposure to a more varied repertoire he developed a passion for Brazilian music and favoured the style of Motown artists, which led to his first compositions with other Italian artists.

At the same time Alex was performing his compositions live on Italian television for " pronto è la rai " " Domenica in " and " Uno mattina ".

Continuing live performance Alex toured the world on cruise liners as band leader.

Touring Italy as guitarist for Stefano Palatresi for a three year period Alex was also part of the backing band on popular televised programmes such as " Furore " " Portami al mare e fammi sognare " and " Festa di classe ".

A chance meeting on a Mediterranean cruise ship with Chrissy has led to the formation of Duo " ChristAl ". To collaborate on original material Alessandro joined Chrissy in Johannesburg for a period of one year, performing together on the casino and live venue circuit in South Africa , Mauritius and Seychelles .

Back in Italy the duo continue to write and perform, bringing to their live performance the experience of two diverse solo artists.

This diversity is reflected in the original material they write which is across all musical genres.
